Digital Marketing Officer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable social media guru to maintain and grow our well-established channels, and lead the way in developing our digital media presence. If you have a keen eye for detail, great communication skills and at least a year’s experience in a similar role, we would love to hear from you.

About Cotswold Farm Park

Cotswold Farm Park is a visitor attraction based in the heart of the Cotswolds. We welcome a range of visitors across the open season, and have a broad range of products and a wide customer base requiring a targeted and joined up sales and marketing approach across the following areas:

  • The free to enter Ox Shed (our shop, bar and restaurant) which services the campsite and Farm Park customers, but also has the potential to attract lunch and shopping customers, group and coach visits and cycling groups
  • The onsite holiday accommodation (camping, glamping and lodges)
  • Horse fun rides
  • The visitor attraction – Cotswold Farm Park – seasonal events, experiences and activities aimed at a range of audiences, including members, holiday makers, day trippers, local residents, coach tours and school groups.

Purpose of the Role

  • To support the Marketing Manager in fulfilling the requirements of the Marketing function, working to set objectives with KPIs in place
  • To be a driving force in the development of the company’s social media channels
  • To provide reports and data for the Marketing Manager and other Managers where required – training will be provided
  • To support the business in the growth and implementation of key revenue streams (ticketing, campsite, groups, memberships, events)
  • To act as a support to the wider business where needed

Principle Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the company’s social media channels, developing a plan across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
  • Working alongside the Creative Marketing Officer, plan and schedule engaging content across all channels and monitor results
  • Organising paid advertising on networks when relevant and in line with the marketing budget
  • Regular harvesting of subscriber information and updating lists
  • Data mining in our EPOS, Google Analytics and social channels to provide reports for the Marketing Manager
  • Send and schedule emails to relevant mailing lists
  • Writing and proofreading copy
  • Assisting the Marketing Manager as required, including with press releases, leaflets, event listings, editorial, photography, advert booking, renewals and listings, staff news etc
  • Set up marketing promotions in the EPOS
  • Input into the planning of special events and displays
  • Organising and fulfilling competitions and prize draws
  • Arranging press passes and working with social media influencers

Training to be provided:

  • EPOS training
  • Customer Service Training
  • Technical training e.g. sales/social media/marketing etc

Skills Required:

  • Energy and enthusiasm, with a keen interest in digital and social
  • Attention to detail; excellent spelling and grammar
  • Creative design skills desirable, but not essential
  • Organisation skills
  • Communication skills – both verbal and written (strong copywriting and storytelling skills)
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise

Attributes and Experience

  • Have a good understanding of marketing processes
  • Have at least 1 years’ experience in a digital marketing / social media role in a commercial, sales driven environment
  • Demonstrate an enthusiastic, pro-active and problem-solving approach to the job
  • Have the ability to work under pressure, taking responsibility for a situation as it arises
  • Will be a good communicator and work well within a small team
  • Be willing to attend training sessions/courses as required

Reports to:         Marketing Manager

Contract:            Full time, permanent (on successful completion of 6 month probationary period)

Hours:                40 hours per week (8.30am – 5pm), based at Cotswold Farm Park (GL54 5FL)

Seasonal Chef

Are you passionate about great food and enjoy working in a busy environment? We are looking for a friendly, hardworking individual to join our team at the Cotswold Farm Park.

We are looking for a keen and dedicated Chef with at least two years experience of working in a busy catering environment. The role will include fresh food preparation, baking and food service.

The successful candidate will be required to run the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, working alone and as part of a team, managing full service of up to 200 hot meals.

Experience of stock control and ordering would be an advantage.

Full training will be provided but you should be aware of the current FSA and COSSH regulations

Please note own transport is essential due to the rural location.

Retail and Admissions Assistant

We are looking for a friendly and helpful individual to join our team this summer.

You are expected to deliver excellent customer service and go out of your way to assist our customers.

Ideally some retail experience and knowledge of using an EPOS system would be preferrable but full training will be offered.

You will mainly be working both on the admissions ticket desks and in the retail areas. However, at times, we may also need you to assist in other areas of the business.

Generally, working hours will be from 08.30-17.30 although due to the nature of the business these may vary slightly.

This is a seasonal position and hours can be flexible. You must have your own transport as we are in a rural location.

Preferred Experience: Whilst training will be given, this role would suit someone who has experience of working on the shop floor in a retail environment, has receptionist duties or experience working in ticketing.

Entertainments Team – Summer Casual Weekends/Holidays

We are looking for a friendly and confident individuals to join our entertainments team this summer.

You are expected to deliver excellent customer service and communicate with enthusiasm and confidence in this public-facing role.

You will be passionate, helpful and go out of your way to engage with our visitors, answer their questions and add value to their visit.

You will ensure that the condition and cleanliness of the animal areas, along with the well-being of the livestock, are maintained to a consistently high standard throughout the park.

You will be expected to provide visitors with a fun and educational day out through practical demonstrations, informative discussion, hands-on experience and their safe use of our site and play equipment.

Generally, working hours will be from 08.00-17.30 although due to the nature of the business these may vary slightly.

These are temporary positions and hours can be flexible. you must have your own transport as we are in a rural location.

Preferred Experience: Whilst training will be given, this role would suit someone who has a hospitality or visitor attraction background. A background of practical working or working with animals would also be beneficial.

Sales and Admin Assistant

We are looking for efficient, organised and friendly people to join our bookings and administration team.

You are expected to deliver excellent customer service and go out of your way to assist our customers with our booking systems.

Your daily responsibilities will include responding to emails, social messages and phone calls from our guests. You will be working with our booking systems for both day guests and accommodation guests.

Part of your working schedule will include working on the admissions desks – greeting visitors to the park and checking them in. At times, we may also need you to assist in other areas of the business.

Generally, working hours will be from 09.00-17.00 although due to the nature of the business these may vary slightly.

You must have your own transport as we are in a rural location.

Preferred Experience: Whilst training will be given, this role would suit someone who has experience of venue ticketing, working in a call centre or as a secretary.
