An Early Bird discount will be available on all bookings made before October 31st. Members will then continue to enjoy a 20% discount until November 25th.

What happens if I cannot attend?

Our tickets are non-refundable, however you may move your booking to a future time and date, availability permitting. You will be charged an admin fee of £2 per ticket for this service.

Will refunds be offered if the event is cancelled?

In the unlikely event Cotswold Farm Park has to cancel one of the light trail dates before the advertised start time, you will be contacted via email by midday on the date of your booking and invited to move your booking to a future date free of charge. Closure announcements will also be made on our social channels, again by midday on the affected date.

If we are unable to re-schedule your booking or if, for any reason, Cotswold Farm Park has to cancel all Enchanted Light Trail dates, your tickets will be refunded.

What if I have to cancel?

We recognise that it’s still really tricky to book events and days out in advance; we want you to know that your money is in safe hands. If you are forced to change your plans due to COVID, your booking can be moved to an alternative date or if this isn’t possible, your booking will be refunded.

This would be the case if you contracted COVID, if you could not travel to us due to a change in government restrictions, or if the event had to be cancelled due to a change in government guidance which forces us to close, or otherwise makes the event inoperable at its intended level of experience.

If you find yourself in a situation where you are not able to visit due to COVID, please do make us aware before your booked timeslot.

Full details of our ‘book with confidence’ policy can be found in our ticketing terms and conditions.

Parking & Accessibility

Will there be plenty of free parking?

There is plenty of free parking on site.

How far is the walk around the Enchanted trail?

The trail should take approximately 60-90 minutes to complete.

Is it wheelchair/pushchair friendly?

Our trail makes use of the paths around the park, however these may be gravel/woodchip in places and have a slight incline/decline at times. It is accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs, but can get muddy!

Is site re-entry allowed?

You will be able to come in and out of the venue area, shop and restaurant, but will only be able to loop around the trail once, due to capacity.

Are dogs allowed into the event?

We can only welcome assistance dogs on site, due to the close contact with the farm animals.

Opening Times

What is the start/end time of the event?

The first arrival times (4:15pm and 4:30pm) are advertised as our Twilight sessions and would be best suited to young children, or those with sensory issues, who may prefer a quieter and/or more well-lit experience. Arrival times then continue all the way through to 6pm, with later arrival times TBC on more popular dates.

You are welcome to stay and soak up the atmosphere once you finish the trail. Enjoy some festive treats in the courtyard or stock up on gifts from the shop. We will begin to wind down from 9pm, to be closed for 10pm.

We have an early arrival time, can we stay all evening?

Yes, the time booked for is for your arrival only, you are then welcome to stay as long as you like.

Can we arrive earlier in the day for the event?

Our Enchanted Light Trail is a special event outside of our normal Farm Park admission times. You are welcome to visit Cotswold Farm Park earlier in the day but standard daytime admission charges apply. Please note that on these days, Cotswold Farm Park will close to the general public at 3pm before the Enchanted Light Trail begins.

Do you offer accommodation?

Yes, our Sunset Lodges and Pods are available over the winter. Lodge stays include unlimited entry to the Enchanted Light Trail.

We also have Touring Pitches available to book on the campsite over winter.

All stays also include entry to the Farm Park during opening hours, so you can meet our animals during the day.

How do the timed booking slots work?

Your time slot is the start time of your trail session – the trail itself should take around 90 minutes to complete. Please try to arrive around 5 minutes before your start time.

Food & Drink

Will there be food and drink?

There will be plenty of food and drink available to buy on the night, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.

The catering offer may vary depending on the date of your visit – check the Food page nearer the time for the menu options.

Is food and drink included in the ticket price?

Food and drink is not included in the ticket price. Please remember to bring your card or a form of contactless payment as we are a cashless site. Thank you.

General Questions

Do I need to wear a mask?

In line with government guidelines, masks are now required in the barns and visitor centre, unless you are exempt.

Do I need a COVID vaccine passport?

No, our capacity does not meet the requirement for a passport, however we do ask all guests to be considerate of others’ safety and to follow government guidelines.

Is the Enchanted Light Trail COVID safe?

Visitor safety will always be our main priority; we have put in place all of the necessary processes to qualify for the ‘We’re Good to Go’ industry standard from VisitBritain, as well as some of our own measures. These include:

  • Staggered arrival times
  • Limited capacity of tickets
  • Mask zones in our indoor areas
  • Handwashing and sanitiser stations throughout the park
  • Well-ventilated indoor spaces (and of course, lots of outdoor space!)
  • Enhanced cleaning and hygiene procedures

Will Father Christmas be at the Enchanted Light Trail?

Father Christmas is unable to visit our Enchanted Light Trail due to his very busy schedule!

Does the trail include access inside of the Farm Park?

Yes! The trail takes you around the Farm Park, crossing through all of the barns, so there are plenty of opportunities to play and meet some of the resident Farm Park favourites! Refreshments and toilet facilities will be available throughout the route. Please dress appropriately for the winter weather, so that you can fully enjoy the outdoor sections of the trail.

What can I see and do at Cotswold Farm Park's Enchanted Light Trail?

Our Enchanted Light Trail is a late afternoon / evening event which gives the opportunity to see the Farm Park after hours and in a whole new light!

Feed the animals their last snacks before they settle down for the night and let the kids blow off steam in the Adventure Barn, before setting out on an illuminated evening stroll through the paddocks. Stop off for a warm by the firepit (and perhaps a cheeky toasted marshmallow!), before entering the gloriously transformed woodland, where the trail reaches its finale.

There are various static and interactive lighting installations throughout the site, with plenty of opportunities to take photos and make special memories.

Will there be an opportunity to shop?

Yes! Our fantastic gift shop will be open, with some great gift inspiration, selling plenty of festive delights including Christmas cards, decorations, toys, foodie treats and some gems from local crafters… plus, a lot of gin!

What happens if it is raining or snowing?

Please come prepared! We recommend that you bring warm clothing and footwear for the outdoors and winter weather. Unless the weather presents a safety issue, the event will go ahead as normal.

If the rain or any extreme weather conditions present a safety issue, notification of cancellation will be made on Cotswold Farm Park’s Enchanted Light Trail social media channels by midday of the affected date. Please see your booking terms and conditions for the refund policy.

Due to the nature of the event, there will be limited lighting in places around the site. Please keep to the lit paths and keep track of younger visitors. Paths are uneven in places and may be slippery under foot in poor weather, so please wear suitable footwear. We advise visitors to wrap up warm as a large part of the trail takes you around the outdoor areas of the park.

In order to not detract from the experience, please leave any torches or portable lights at home.
