Adam Henson
I grew up on these hills, the son of a farmer who spent his life saving rare breeds. Today I run the farm with my business partner Duncan, and on Sunday evenings I get to show millions of people what farming really looks like. This is where I share the bits in between.

What I care about
-
Rare breeds
Rare breeds Dad started saving them in 1971. I'm still at it, with over 50 flocks and herds.
-
Feeding the nation
Helping people see where their food comes from, and who grows it.
-
Nature on the farm
Hedges, woodland and wildlife working alongside the crops and stock.
-
The next generation
Backing young farmers and the rural communities they keep alive.
Dad's farm park, still saving rare breeds
In 1971 Dad opened the country's first farm park to help protect breeds that were close to disappearing. I'm proud to keep walking in his wellington-booted footprints, and we'd love you to come and meet them.
Talks, events and partnerships, done properly.
"I love getting off the farm to talk about the trials and tribulations of being a UK farmer, rearing Rarebreeds and trying to educate the British public on all the great things the UK farmers do for the environment, wildlife and economy."
I enjoying talking at events and shows and have developed some long-term partnerships with businesses and brands that genuinely care about farming, the wildlife and countryside as much as I do.
I've been lucky enough to spend my life farming and telling people about it. If you'd like me to do that for you, or if you are interested in working with me I'd love to hear from you.
650 hectares of Cotswold hills
Duncan and I have farmed here together since I took on the tenancy from Dad in 1999. Arable, livestock and a lot of muddy mornings.
We're trying hard to farm for nature as well as food: hedges, woodland, solar on the barns and a new patch of hill ground with some wonderful old trees.
Adam Hensons Farm Diaries
On his YouTube channel watch an exclusive behind the scenes looks at what happens on a working Cotswold Farm: the animals, the wildlife, the team and the odd thing that goes wrong.
Keeping on Track
After losing a farming friend to suicide Adam decided to host a podcast series to raise more awareness and talk about rural mental health.
'Keeping on Track' talks about the importance of the farming community coming together, but the need to reconnect again with consumers; for the country to value and better understand what farmers do to produce food and look after the land and the ongoing pressures they face each day.
