Our much-loved Pumpkin Patch is back for October 2026

If you're looking for pumpkin picking near Cheltenham, Cirencester or Stow-on-the-Wold, here's everything you need to plan a proper autumn day out at Adam Henson's Cotswold Farm Park - dates, what's included, what to do once you've found your pumpkin, and the answers to the questions we get asked most.

When is the Pumpkin Patch open?

The patch opens every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October, plus every day of half term:

    • 2nd – 4th October
    • 9th – 11th October
    • 16th – 18th October
    • 21st – 31st October (half term, open daily)

    How pick-your-own works

Head into the field and choose your pumpkin straight from the patch. Pricing is by size, so there's something for every budget, from small ornamental gourds to giant whoppers for the front step.

A note on who grows them: we've tried growing our own, but our thin Cotswold soil and high elevation aren't kind to pumpkins. So we work with a local farmer who grows them for us - which means every pumpkin you pick here supports a local farming business rather than a supermarket supply chain.

Carve your masterpiece

Once you've picked, carving kits and friendly assistants are on hand to help turn your pumpkin into a work of art. Carving is included in all Pumpkin Patch experience tickets and free for members; Farm Park visitors can add it on the day.

Rather carve at home? Choose a take-away kit and finish your creation on the kitchen table.

Face painting, selfie stations and more

Face painting runs at weekends, and there are selfie stations dotted throughout the patch — including some designed with dogs in mind.

Yes, it's a dog-friendly pumpkin patch

Dogs are very welcome in the Pumpkin Patch, and there are plenty of sights and sniffs to keep them busy. Please use the designated dog bins. One thing to know before you come: dogs can't go into the Farm Park itself, but they are welcome in the Ox Shed restaurant and shop as well as the patch.

Accessible for all

The patch sits on flat ground with cut pathways throughout, so wheelchairs, pushchairs and anyone with mobility needs can get around comfortably. Toilets are available in the Pumpkin Patch and in the Ox Shed Visitor Centre.

The VIP Pumpkin Experience

For an easy, everything-sorted day, VIP tickets include access to the field, your choice of pumpkins, carving, face painting (weekends only), a meal and a standard drink from one of our food trucks, and a gift of our Wild Flower seeds to plant at home.
