Your Home from Home in the Cotswolds

19th Aug 2024

The Cotswolds remains one of the UK’s most visited destinations, with the combination of chocolate box villages and sweeping landscapes making our local area a must-visit for guests from all walks of life.

On any given day in the summer, you can expect to hear accents from all over the world in a typical Cotswolds pub or on any popular hiking route, while attractions like the Cotswold Farm Park fill up with families, couples, day guests, and staycationers.

With all this in mind, it’s safe to say that there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained in the Cotswolds. Which begs one question… where should you start when planning your stay?

Take time out

The Ox Shed, our onsite restaurant, is open every evening during the summer holidays with live music on Wednesdays and Saturdays and dinner service on select evenings.

What’s more, the Wildlife Walk is at its best and most beautiful during the summer holidays, with those looking to learn a little more about their surroundings invited to join us for a guided dog walk on the first Sunday of every month.

And that’s just within the boundaries of our Farm Park…

Local Attractions and Stopping Points

One of the best things about the Cotswold Farm Park is that while our site is surrounded by stretches of countryside and endless footpaths, we are located a short drive from some of the Cotswolds’ most picturesque villages and things to see.

Sudeley Castle over in Winchcombe combines its Tudor history and royal connections with beautifully manicured gardens and exhibitions. Cleeve Common, just outside Winchcombe, boasts some of the best views across to Cheltenham that you can find, and is just a short drive from the outskirts of Cheltenham itself.

Broadway remains one of our team’s top recommendations, thanks to its picturesque Cotswold stone high street and the collection of pubs, eateries, and shops available. Bourton-on-the-Water boasts a similar charm, or you can head slightly further North towards Stow-on-the-Wold (adding the ever-popular Cheese Shop to your itinerary!)

Of course, you might decide to stick within walking distance of the Farm Park and simply enjoy our local surroundings. If this is more up your street, we recommend breaking up your evenings spent at the Ox Shed by visiting nearby Temple Guiting and Guiting Power (both home to excellent local pubs).

A home from home.

Suffice to say, there is plenty to see and do in the Cotswolds – which is why it’s so important to have somewhere comfortable and welcoming to return to at the end of every day.

Let us welcome you this summer, as the Cotswold Farm Park becomes your portal to some of the UK’s most beautiful surroundings. Advance bookings are required to secure your place on our campsite or to reserve one of our caravan pitches. To find out more about availability, head to our booking page.
