Christmas FAQs

How long does the Enchanted Light Trail take to complete?

The light trail is a 20 minute walk if you don’t stop, but we suggest you do stop and play/eat and relax during the trip – we put plenty of activities in to keep you busy including meeting our friendly farm animals. The optional Make-a-Bear activity takes around 15 minutes to complete.

Can I see the Light Trail in the day?

No, the light trail is an evening-only experience open from 16:00. You will need to purchase a separate ticket to see the lights if you are visiting us for Father Christmas Daytime Experience (10:45 – 14:00) or you can purchase a Christmas Evening Experience ticket which combines meeting Father Christmas & the Enchanted Light Trail.

Can I move my Light Trail booking or get a refund?

All tickets purchased online are valid for one occasion, are non-refundable and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. If you need to change the date of your booking, there will be a £2 (per person) admin fee. We will do our very best to move your booking (subject to availability). Please forward your booking confirmation email to hello@cotswoldfarmpark.co.uk and let us know which date you wish to change your Christmas visit to.

I have made a mistake on my booking, who should I contact?

Our friendly team will be able to assist you as best as they can. We advise you to forward your confirmation email (with your booking reference number) to hello@cotswoldfarmpark.co.uk with information on what the issue is.

My child has special needs, which light trail time slot do you recommend I book?

Our twilight session is one of the first time slots of the day as it's lighter out. This would be a good choice of session for children that don't like the dark or have sensitive eyesight.

Is it possible to buy gift tickets?

I'm afraid we don't have this as an option and also with tickets selling fast, we would advise of possible to get booked in with a date that works for the child as we may not have availability left if we were to activate a gift voucher at a later date.
Staying in a lodge or bringing your motorhome?

Access to the light trail is included as part of your stay on the campsite.

Is the Enchanted Light Trail suitable for dogs?

Yes! Our Enchanted Light Trail is dog friendly, as we welcome well-behaved dogs on their leads. However they will not be able to enter the Discovery Barn or Animal Barn, in order to protect the welfare of our farm and small animals.

We have booked to see Father Christmas, can our dog join us?

Regrettably, dogs are not permitted in the Father Christmas experience. If you have a dog with you, one of your party will need to remain outside with your dog as they cannot be left unattended.

Dogs will be permitted in the Teddybear Workshop should they wish to make themselves their of soft toy to take home.

Your dog can remain in your car for this section of your visit if the conditions are suitable and they are happy in the car. Upon entry, you will be issued a wristband that will allow you to leave the park and re-enter.

Where is my dog allowed?

Dogs are welcomed throughout the Enchanted Light Trail but will not be permitted in the Discovery Barn or Animal Barn, in order to protect the welfare of our farm and small animals. They are allowed in the Teddy Bears Workshop, Adventure Barn, but not in the play areas. All other parts of the Light Trail and the Ox Shed Restaurant will be accessible to them.

Why are dogs allowed in the park in the evening, but not during the day?

A few areas of the Park are shut during the evenings and our Enchanted Light Trail, such as our play areas, which makes the park more accessible for dogs. There are also fewer animals on display during the evening.

How can I add my dog to my existing booking?

Dogs are free to enter the event. If you’ve already booked your tickets, there is no need to let us know that you’ll be bringing your dog.

Are there any restrictions on the size or breed of dogs?

We welcome dogs of all sizes and breeds, as long as they are friendly, well-socialised, and comfortable in public settings. Aggressive dogs or those showing signs of distress may be asked to leave for the safety and enjoyment of others.

Do you provide water or amenities for dogs?

Yes, there will be water stations located along the trail to keep your furry friend hydrated. We also have designated pet waste disposal stations, so please be responsible for cleaning up after your dog.

Will there be any loud noises, such as fireworks, that might scare dogs?

No, we avoid using loud noises or fireworks at the event to ensure it is a calm and enjoyable experience for both dogs and their owners.

Can I bring more than one dog?

Yes, you may bring multiple dogs. However, we recommend that each handler only brings as many dogs as they can comfortably manage to ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment.

Does my dog need to stay on their lead?

Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on the trail and in the Ox Shed.

What if my dog needs the toilet?

Waste bins will be provided around the Park, please bring bags - you can place these in any of our bins.

What if we’re running late? Will we miss our slot?

Please don't worry if you are running slightly late, you will still be able to enter the trail after your arrival time slot.

What should I wear and should my dog dress up for the occasion?

The majority of the trail is outdoors, so please do dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear. Festive dog outfits are encouraged, just make sure your dog is comfortable and able to move freely in their outfit.
